The Israel Diamond Exchange
The Israel Diamond Exchange is home to more than
2,400 of Israel's diamond and precious stone dealers. The Exchange provides
dealers and their clients’ optimal trading facilities. The Diamond Exchange,
located in the Maccabi Building, has the world's largest diamond trading hall,
which is equipped to accommodate more than 1,000 people at a time.
As a whole, Israel's diamond industry is one of the leading world diamond
trading centers for rough and polished diamonds. Almost half of the world's gem
quality diamonds come out of Israel and can be found in a substantial portion of
the world’s most beautiful diamond jewelry stores.
Israeli diamond polishing factories, also considered the most advanced in the
world, are equipped with sophisticated polishing and processing technologies,
most of which were developed locally. Their highly qualified workforce, places
the Israeli industry in a lead global position.
